Eight Tips to Stay Motivated With Cast Iron Gutters

Tidy home is the dream of virtually many men and women in the world. How ever tidy your home may be, you always think it can be cleaner, shinier, tidier. If you walk in a home which is impeccable, it can mean two things. Either the person has hired help, or does nothing else during the day but cleans. If your income is average, hiring help may be out of your league, and if you have a steady job and a family, cleaning and decorating the apartment or the house whole day long is impossible.

However, this does not mean one should live in a mess. I am not the tidiest person in the world, but when I have to sit and start working, I usually can’t do it if there are, say, dirty dishes. Having a mess in my place makes a mess in my mind and with my balance, and I really am not fond of it. Taking a little time out of each day makes miracles, and can significantly help you in keeping your home nice and clean.

Well, first comes (if we don’t count the dreadful days of psychological preparations) the role distribution. If you have kids, let them know that they have to take care of their rooms or room. You don’t want to spend a day going through their toys deciding which one to throw away. You can help them with deciding what to do with their clothing. If they are old enough, you can also assign bathroom cleaning to them. If they are not, keep them away from chemicals. Also, if they are mature enough, cleaning of the kitchen can the their task. If not, make them take out the garbage, or something else easy you detest doing.

Once the roles are assigned to each member of the family, the big day can start. Find appropriate music, which will energize everyone, and make sure the cleaning related food is prepared. Cleaning related food is nothing heavy. Fresh fruit and vegetables (very appropriate since it’s spring!) are great, because they energize, as well as freshly squeezed juices. Forget about fried meat, fries, or snacks. They’ll just make you lazy and sleepy, which are great excuses to not finish the spring cleaning until the summer ends.

Make sure you clean all the rooms first, and save the bathroom to be cleaned last. You’ll be walking in and out of the bathroom constantly, and will make a mess there, so there’s no sense in cleaning it before everything else is finished. People generally have one great issue during spring cleaning, and that is clothes. There is no need to keep any piece of clothing you haven’t worn over a year. Don’t just throw it away, make sure it gets to people who need it and want to wear it.

With a relatively big house, spring cleaning can be done in a weekend, if everyone takes part equally. As long as there’s will, the atmosphere will be better and more positive, and this can actually be a nice family gathering (minus the fancy lunch and presents). Make sure your whole family realizes that the house is their place as well, and that they need to clean it.
