Spikes and Ferrules- This is used to attach rain gutters to property. The spikes are actually drilled through the ferrules and the rims of the gutters to keep them in right position.

Slip Connectors- These are used to connect two lengths. Many other gutter types need sealing with caulk while making these connections.

Strap Hangers – These are used to support rain gutters. They completely wrap around the rain gutters and the others are connected under the roofing material as well as the outside edge of the rain gutters.

Miters. Miters are used to turn in rain gutter system which can be used inside and outside turns.

End Pieces. They are available either with or without gutters, They are end parts placed at the gutter piece end.

Downspouts. Downspouts are used to drain rain water out from the gutter and direct it to specific location.

Conductor Pipe Band or Clincher. It secures and holds the downspouts in place against the wall of the structure.

Square Shoe.: This part is located at the bottom of downspouts which directs water onto a splash block.

Getting Ready for Installation

It is a standard practice to take the measurement of the property before going to purchase the gutter parts and lengths. This will enable you to purchase the exact number of pieces of gutters and other parts. Be sure about the measurements by double checking.

Once everything is purchased position all of the materials on the ground in such a way that it is supposed to be positioned on the roof. There should be at least 1″ for every 2 pieces of 10′ lengths of rain gutter.
