There is no question that a building can receive considerable damage when water backs up in the gutters. This is caused by the accumulation of leaves and other debris, often caused by trees or other foliage which hang over the roof, causing an accumulation of leaves and sticks. Trying to clean these water carriers by hand is not only messy but also dangerous and ineffective. Having a guard in place eliminates this chore and gives better protection against water damage. Another problem with accumulated debris is that it can attract insects, birds and even squirrels.

There are many different types of gutter guards in the marketplace. Each has their own type of construction and method of installation. However, having any of these models in place will eliminate the possibility of structural damage and backed-up water during winter months.
